On Thursday, November 27th, members of the Ontario Provincial Police in Hawkesbury, accompanied by their auxiliary officers and their charming mascot Rosie, organized a food and monetary donation drive at Your’s Independent Grocer supermarket.
This worthwhile initiative has been in place for several years. It goes without saying that the HCFB appreciates, beyond words, this initiative on the part of the OPP.
The welcoming, collaborative and reassuring presence of the OPP in our community conveys the intention and the message of mutual aid and support for all those who are experiencing difficulties in adapting and obtaining daily essentials.
