Boutique Madeleine was created as a tribute to Mrs. Madeleine Berthelot, who was president of the food bank from 2012, and for many years.
She was a remarkable presence for the volunteers she guided through difficult times.
Following her passing, the members of the Food Bank’s Board of Directors named the Boutique in her name to commemorate the commitment of this great lady.
The Boutique Madeleine opened its doors to Food Bank clients in July 2021, following its move on Cartier Blvd.
The Boutique Madeleine comprises three well-organized rooms for HCFB clients. Room 1: children’s clothing, books and toys; room 2: kitchen, bedroom and bathroom items, decorations and men’s clothes; room 3: women’s clothes.
Boutique Madeleine acts as a sort of distribution center for clothing and other items for its clients.
Citizens wishing to donate clothing and other items in good condition can do so during the food bank’s opening hours.
Please note that anything that is stained, torn or worn out is discarded. What’s no longer acceptable and usable to you, is no longer acceptable and usable to anyone.
Clothing and other items must be brought to the Food Bank during the opening hours indicated at the bottom of the page.
It is not advisable to leave bags outside the Food Bank, as they can be taken away by anyone, or opened on the premises. Furthermore, items may be damaged by the weather.
